Haruki Murakami

Haruki Murakami is a famous Japanese writer and translator. He was born in 1949 in Ashiya city, Kyoto. He graduated from the Faculty of Literature at Waseda University in Tokyo. After, while he was managing the jazz café he wrote novels. He received a Rookie prize from “Hear the Wind Sing” in 1979. He achieved major in 1987 with the publication of “NORWEGIAN WOOD.” This book is famous best seller. He is considered an important figure in postmodern literature. He received Cena Franze Kafky prize in 2006. Also, he was nominated for the Nobel Prize for literature, which we hope he will win someday.
